Gary Scholten’s path to real estate has been shaped by a spirit of adventure and a deep appreciation for community. Born and raised in the Netherlands, Gary built a successful career in IT before he and his wife followed their dream of moving to Canada in 2004 with their four children. They began their Canadian journey in Canmore, running a café for four years, before moving to Calgary for eight years. Nearly a decade ago, Gary and his family settled in Okotoks, where they enjoy small-town life while staying connected to the city.

Gary’s interest in real estate began more than 20 years ago when he created two FSBO-focused websites, sparking a passion that has grown ever since. His IT background has given him a sharp eye for detail and a tech-savvy approach to marketing, skills he now applies to every client relationship. Having lived and worked across Canmore, Calgary, and now Okotoks, Gary understands the unique character of each community and the challenges families face when searching for the right place to call home. Today, he helps clients buy and sell homes throughout Calgary and the Foothills, guiding them with dedication, empathy, and first-hand knowledge. His mission: to help families find their own “Cloud Nine” home.
